Mandatory Helmets for Coaches

Regulation 502: All coaches shall wear a CSA certified helmet, properly fastened, while on the ice conducting practice.

*Please note this regulation applies to All Coaches, Novice up to and including Junior in HNS.

At the Hockey Nova Scotia Board meeting on November 28, 2009, the following sanctions for non compliance to this regulation were put in place.

First Offence – Written warning

Second Offence - 1 game suspension

Third Offence – 2 game suspension

Fourth Offence – Indefinite suspension
